Firstly, I am 5'6" tall and am abit overweight. Usually, I wear a L top and a 2X bottom. I ordered an L in this gown on the hope that the skirt would be cut full enough. It also helps to know that I sew - well. This is a sophisticated gown, not a beautiful one. The V-neck fits perfectly against the body. I have long arms and its sleeves are about an inch too long. I have not washed it yet, so we will see what happens then. The cotton is mecerized. The garment is made in Hungary. The skirt skims my imperfect body very, very well. From the tip top to the hem bottom, the back measures 52". I'd like 53" and to be able to buy it in pink. The fabric is excellent and feels wonderful against the skin. I'd give this six stars if it were tweaked a little bit. If it shrinks in the wash, it will get sent back
