This product is very worth it. Was worried about running the extra expense for the only difference in material, but it was well worth it. No issues with it rolling off the roll. I have two clamps holding the roll in place as I only needed 4-5 feet and the clamps help keep gravity from destroying my set. You also should have a wide, flat surface for it to lay on otherwise you may cause wrinkles. This is resilient material as long as you do not abuse it. I also used 4 additional clamps to keep the platform-side of the vinyl from sliding. The tape adhesive was very sticky and left residue on the vinyl, but with some Clorox wipes it was easily removed. I work in an automotive environment and get residue on items quite often and thankfully this material accepts cleaning materials well and often removes the residue without an issue. Final thoughts: For product shoots, I would recommend 4 spring clamps (opening depends on the thickness of the table). For all uses, I would recommend 2 large clamps of any type to hold the roll in place. I used two automotive clamps with 15lbs of clamping force and used a rubber piece to increase the contact surface area.I bought this as a floor base for large product shots. Knowing it was heavy, I use background paper as the backdrop instead of hanging a double roll, but that probably would have been OK. I silo my shots anyway, so the seam isn't important. It lays super flat on the floor unlike paper- love that. The product is durable, and cleanable, which is why I bought it. My only complaint is that Savage didn't make this the same width as their paper rolls.Working at a photography studio in the past I was already familiar with "savage" and the quality of their backdrops. The vinyl backdrops make for easy cleaning, and are very durable. The only disappointment was one that I was already aware of... because of how heavy the material is of the backdrop, after time the backdrop will start to have a slight dip in the middle creating wrinkles in the material. Although these do not show once the flash hits the backdrop it does bother me. Overall though it is by far my favorite backdrop and I will be purchasing another soon!I am very happy with this product, and really only have a very minute con--very, very, small. But first, allow me to applaud my purchased product. The material, the durability, the ease towards cleaning and just all around "use-ability" of the screen, and as well the company, is top notch. The only con, and I mean only-- is a few hard to manage creases--but if your the type of photographer/videographer that can render with ease utilizing the many photo/video softwares available, the con is/and remains nill!Thank you!Pretty durable, looks great in photos. Perfect size and the cardboard tube it comes on can be used to hang it. Used for photographing dogs at a shelter. Didn't come as clean as I had hoped (but over 50 dogs walked around on it) but will just use this for dogs only.Works for what I need I guess, but when I went to hang it, the vinyl wasn’t attached to the cardboard roll in any way, so since it is heavy, it completely rolled off and crashed to the ground causing wrinkles and dents. Pretty upsetting after I heard such great things about Savage! The product is heavy duty, and exactly what was described except for one thing. Regardless which side is used any color clothes that are new will rub off some of the color on the white. Ive searched high and low for ways to clean it but all recommended ways dont get the colors out. Also word to the wise becareful what you use to clean the backdrop. To strong of an acid or base will ruin it, including some of those "backdrop" cleaners sold on the photography websites.
