USED FOR Apply this pure, organic, cold-pressed neem oil as a leaf polish or foliar spray.
MADE FROM SUPERthrive Pure Neem Oil is pressed from the seeds of the Indian Neem tree. Neem oil has been used for centuries as a natural foliar plant spray.
ORGANIC OMRI listed, suitable for Organic gardening
HOW TO USE A mild dishwashing soap should be used to emulsify neem oil so it can be sprayed on plants. It can be used on all indoor and outdoor plants. Neem oil is not for use in direct sunlight.
Following the instructions and spraying at least 1x a week (more like, 3x a week for me because I'm paranoid about having my plants die) I've noticed SIGNIFICANT improvements in my roses which were crippled with black spot and other plants which were being eaten by bugs.Roses: Both of my rose bushes were plagued with black spot, dropped 99% of their leaves, and just about died. I tried spray stuff you get from the hardware store but it really was not effective at all. I got this oil and mixed it up and put it in a spray bottle. I cut off all the dead branches, cleaned up the dead leaf litter, and sprayed the crap out of what was left of the roses. New leaves started forming, I sprayed those as well. Old leaves that were still hanging on got sprayed as well and that stopped the black spot dead in its tracks - it doesn't cure it, but it stops it from getting worse. After research I learned I had to cut those leaves off as well or else it had a chance to spread, so I did that. No more black spot! You have to keep up with this though, and it's not always pleasant due to the smell, but you get over it real quick once you see how healthy your plants grow back and maintain the health. Make sure to spray the top and underside of the leaves, and the stems. Give the entire thing a thorough spraying. I do this in the evenings and after a heavy rain, but never during daylight hours. I heard that if you spray this on the leaves in the sun, they might burn - similar effect to if you spray yourself with baby oil before laying out for a tan. On that note, the rose leaves do end up with a nice, beautiful waxy shine after this oil sets in. It's stunning and improves the look of the bush. It's been a month since I started the oil treatment after one bush was almost annihilated - since I cut all the fungal bits off and started the spray, my rose grew an amazing number of new baby branches (like, 15), each with healthy, green, and fungus free leaves.Other plants: Grasshoppers and other bugs were eating my zenias, and everything else in my garden. Every few days I give the garden a light spritzing of this neem oil mix. The bugs seem to not like this stuff and fly off. I don't think it kills them, just repels them. My plants don't have new holes in the leaves it seems, and new growth looks mostly untouched and definitely healthy. It helps that the neem oil makes the plants slightly waxy looking, which enhances leaf color. Moths are still around, but they don't really hurt anything, I think. Does nothing for mosquitoes. Frogs and toads are happy and appear unphased by this stuff, which is good. So by my amateur observations, this seems like a natural and effective way to repel plant-eating bugs without using chemicals or harsh ingredients that kill things.Cons - It smells like sunflower seeds and corn chips - not entirely unpleasant but definitely an odd scent.Definitely worth it, and the little bottle lasts a long time. I've had this a month and not even halfway through the bottle yet. It mixes in water with a teenie bit of regular (not antibacterial) dish soap (this helps it stick to the leaves I heard), so you only need a little at a time. So glad I found this.
